Relaxation and Fun
Whilst our retreats are focussed on learning and physical and emotional wellbeing, we still understand the need for time out for relaxation and enjoying your trip away from home. For this reason, we leave afternoons for you to explore, relax and have some fun in and around the Vila Vita Parc Resort.

During your week-long stay, you’ll be able to make use of the gym and spa facilities onsite. Included in your retreat package is one activity per day, so choose from the wide range of pamper sessions or leisure activities on offer too.Whilst our retreats are focussed on learning and physical and emotional wellbeing, we still understand the need for time out for relaxation and enjoying your trip away from home. Food and Accomodation
All food is included in our retreat package and all meals are carefully developed to provide a balanced, healthy and nutritional diet. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements.

All rooms are of an exceptionally high standard with a balcony or terrace and an en suite bathroom. Rooms are allocated on a single occupancy basis but should you wish to share a room with a partner or companion, this can be arranged.

She is passionate about women’s wellbeing, helping women achieve more with less effort, helping them set boundaries around technology and learn good digital wellbeing.

The Founder and CEO of Softer Success, she empowers leading organisations and their employees to proactively prevent burnout. Cara’s powerful techniques and tips are transforming the lives of thousands of people. Her unique programme ‘Prevent Burnout, Find Balance’ enables individuals and corporate teams to create a more harmonious, peaceful and productive life.

A sought after keynote speaker, she’s been invited to speak at organisations such as Google, Box and the United Nations. Her bestselling book Softer Success: Prevent Burnout, Find Balance and Re-Define Your Success was published in 2019.

Cara is a keen yoga fanatic and is learning how to be a sushi making pro! She’s also an associate of the International Stress Management Association (ISMA) and a member of the organising committee for International Stress Awareness Week.

In her role as coach, trainer, keynote speaker, author and professor she has inspired over 100 000 people across the globe for over 15 years in English, French or German.

One of her main inspiration sources is her over 100 trips and expeditions to the most extreme parts of the world, living with and observing still authentic tribes, learning from researchers like Jane Goodall about wildlife and exploring still active volcanoes in remote parts of our beautiful planet.

Weather
The weather in the Algarve in October is usually warm, with a daily average temperature of 20°C, although it can range between 15°C in the early morning to 25°C in the afternoon.

The sea averages a warm 21°C and the rainfall is low.

How to Get There
Faro International Airport is 35 minutes away by car, which you can organise via the hotel or via us. There are multiple flights from major European destinations.

Visa Requirements
Travellers from within the EU do not require a visa to travel as Portugal is a signatory to the Schengen Agreement. Any UK citizen who holds a UK passport can travel to Portugal visa-free.

Travellers from outside the EU and non-EU nationals who reside in the UK will require a Schengen visa with no stays longer than 90 days permitted, or return travel within 180 days.

Travel Insurence
You are advised to have travel insurance to cover any unforeseen cancellations or eventualities that might befall you during your trip. However, there are no extreme sports or dangerous activities including in our retreat package.

What to Bring
Pack light clothing for the daytime, with a long sleeved coverup in case of a morning chill. For the evenings, long sleeves are advised due to a slight drop in temperature, but you won’t need cold weather gear. (Although we do advise checking the local weather forecasts before you travel.)

The Vila Vita Parc resort is close to the beach and has several swimming pools, so make sure you pack your swimming costume or trunks.

Gym gear including trainers and lightweight, comfortable clothing is also advised for taking part in yoga sessions or using the gym. You may also wish to bring sturdy footwear to explore the surrounding resort of Armação de Pêra.

Sunscreen or other forms of sun protection such as a wide brimmed hat and loose clothing are also advised.
