Mariyana Bushara, Mental Health and Wellbeing Consultant (United Kingdom)
Mariyana Bushara is a wellbeing consultant, mental health expert, inspirational speaker and learning facilitator. She uses psychology principles to help individuals identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviours enabling them to thrive rather than survive. Mariyana has over 15 years’ experience across a variety of roles and disciplines.
Her background is predominantly in psychology, carrying out both one to one and group work. She uses powerful tools and techniques to draw on strengths and help individuals overcome their limiting beliefs, step out of their comfort zone and achieve the results they want. Mariyana is able to pull on different models to help her clients overcome low confidence, stress, low mood and anxiety.
Most recently, Mariyana worked in Human Resources and Organisational Development. As part of her role, she dealt with the whole employee life cycle and was involved in numerous change projects using agile project management methodology. In her work she utilises these techniques to help individuals see situations from a different perspective, empowering them to make incremental changes, reaping early benefits.
Having overcome numerous challenges herself, Mariyana is passionate about spreading the word about good mental wellbeing and is keen to share her knowledge from previous experience, education and clinical work to make a real difference. Mariyana holds an MSc in Rehabilitation Psychology, a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources and is a qualified coach. She also speaks English and Arabic, allowing her to connect with a wide range of clients from varying backgrounds.
